Often a persons success is attributed to their innate talents. But I think resilience is a far more powerful attribute that I credit for my own achievements. That, and the ability to grasp the basics of something new fairly quickly.

I love challenging myself to learn new subjects and spread my skill set out into the shape of a "T" instead of specialising in a single field. You know the quote, "A jack of all trades is a master of none, but often times better than a master of one." I may not be an expert but show me the ropes and I will scale a mountain with them. Or at least "die" trying.

Because of this mentality, I could fit into any team by filling its gaps, acting as the bridge between the technical and artistic disciplines which tend to argue as intentions, implementation and public perception of the product often do not see eye to eye. I am not afraid to voice out concerns when I see issues with work and make tough calls that others would like to avoid.

 

My particular set of skills and attitude usually led to leadership roles in these projects, which gave me experience managing people and projects.
